New Single: "You Got Me Like" by Jacob Woods
Athens GA based Country music artist Jacob Woods has come a long a way in a short time.
We sat down with the Athens based country artist to discuss his newest single and learn about the inspiration behind his music.
Following the red hot debut of “Hometown Heartache”, Jacob’s newest single “You Got Me Like” is a classic southern love song. Fun, bright and surprisingly deep, Jacob’s inspiration for this song was his longtime girlfriend, Rachel Franklin.
Woods: “You Got Me Like is about Rachel. She’s been my rock through this entire journey and I never stop falling in love with her. I wanted to capture the feelings of falling in love with a girl and how getting to know each other can be such an amazing experience. When you’re first getting to know somebody in a relationship it’s always hot and heavy. For us, that feeling has never gone away. Anybody who’s been in a relationship will tell you that things get a lot more intense in the long run. Couples often lose the spark and spend forever fighting to get it back. I wanted to capture that feeling and tell our story. So far we haven’t lost that spark and she sweeps me off my feet every time I see her.”
